| June 17, 2010 | Well hello again everybody. It appears that Suffer the Silence are more resilient than I could have imagined. Just wanted to let everyone know that we are not dead,
and that we are actually working on a new album. I'm not sure as to whether or not it will be an EP or an LP; nonetheless, some masterful music is underway. Recording should take place this summer, with better sound quality than ever (thanks to the Zoom R16 that will be used for recording drums).
As always, the music will be honest and laden with intensity--and as always, new horizons will be explored. That's all I'll say for now.

Hello everyone. So this is the first piece of news for 2010, and the first piece of news in a long time from Suffer the Silence. As not much has happened with us for some time now, one can probably assume that either the band has split up, or we are on hiatus.
To make a long story short, Rapha is officially no longer in Suffer the Silence. He has become not only bored of our music, but tired of playing drums as well. Thus, no music has been recorded
in the past many, many months because of this. I am continuing to make new music, but am in search of a new drummer for Suffer the Silence as well as another project I recently started called
Heroes from the Grave, a rock oriented band. Though I may not record anything in the next many, many months because of the lack of people interested in the kind of music we play, I will continue
with Suffer the Silence indefinitely, even if I'm on my own. However, if interested in drumming in Suffer the Silence, Heroes from the Grave--or both--contact me.
Also, I cleaned up the site a bit. It looked great through Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Netscape for the longest time, until several months ago when Firefox disabled a certain transparency- opacity script. At the same time, Safari and Google Chrome became more popular within the past year; and both are browsers that do not support the transparency-opacity script, either. So I revised the site to make it more friendly to all the viable browsers on the web currently. In summation, Suffer the Silence are not dead. Even though the sole band member is me as of now, I will keep it going as long as I am interested in creating our brand of music. -Marcus |

Hey again. Summer vacation is over and school has once again resumed. But on a good note, Evan--my best friend, ex-bassist for Suffer the Silence, and current U.S. Marine--is on leave for several days and will be playing a gig with us once more! This show will be his first in over 2 years with us. As glad as he is to be playing with us once again, we are gladder, still.
All of the details for the show can be found in the Shows section. If anyone has any questions, contact me. -Marcus |

Not much has happened lately in the Suffer the Silence camp. The reason for this is because I've mainly been preoccupied with other things. However, I have been coming up with some good music during this moratorium that should appear in a future release.
Currently, I've been thinking of making a video for "Dear and Dead." If it happens, a new version will be recorded for the audio. This track will probably also be included in an upcoming EP with similar sounding songs; but that's just an idea for now. Sounds promising. As slow as things have been during the past many months with the band, our progress begins now. -Marcus |
